DRAFT · This is a working draft. The final version is confirmed before registration opens, and you will be asked to agree to the version in effect when you register.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By using the website or the portal, creating an account, or registering for an event, you agree to these terms and to the competition rules. If you do not agree, please do not use them. If you register on behalf of a studio or a group, you confirm you have the authority to do so.
2. Accounts
Studios and independent dancers each have one portal account. You agree to give accurate information, including every dancer’s date of birth, and to keep it up to date. Incorrect information can change a dancer’s age division, scoring, or eligibility.
Keep your password and studio code private. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including actions by anyone at your studio you give access to. Tell us right away if you think your account has been used without permission.
3. Who may enter
Studio-affiliated dancers and independent dancers may enter. Entries are organized by age division, entry division, and performance category as described in the competition rules. If you enter dancers under 18, you confirm you are their parent, guardian, or an authorized studio representative.
4. Registration, fees, and payments
Fees are listed for each event before you register. A registration is confirmed only when we record your payment and give you a confirmation number. Event dates, venues, schedules, and capacity are announced for each event and can change.
Refunds, transfers, waivers, and event cancellation or rescheduling follow the policy published for that event. Where a policy is still marked pending in the rules, we will publish it before registration opens for that event.
5. Competition rules and event policies
The competition rules are part of these terms. Rules and event policies may be updated, and you will be held to the version in effect when you register. Judges and event staff make the final call on scoring, category questions, and conduct at an event.
6. Music and performance content
You confirm that you have the right to use the music, costumes, props, and choreography in your entries. You are responsible for any music licensing your performance requires. Uploading music to the portal does not give us a license to use it for anything other than running your entry.
7. Photos, video, and media
By registering, you give LEVELESS permission to photograph and record performances and to use those images and recordings, along with dancers’ first names and studio names, in marketing, social media, and promotional materials. You confirm you can give this permission for the dancers you enter. To limit this for a dancer, contact us before the event and we will note it, though we cannot always remove a dancer from crowd or group footage.
8. Accommodations and safety
Tell us about props, extra setup or tear-down time, and any accommodations a dancer needs when you build the entry, so we can plan the schedule and the stage. Dancers take part at their own risk. Studios and guardians are responsible for supervising minors and for making sure dancers are fit to perform. Nothing in these terms limits responsibilities we cannot lawfully limit.
9. Conduct
Treat dancers, families, judges, staff, volunteers, venues, and other guests with respect. We may remove a person from an event or close an account for unsafe, abusive, or disruptive behavior, or for giving false information. Whether a refund applies is decided under the event’s policy.
10. Our content
The LEVELESS name, logo, website, portal, rules, and other content belong to us or our licensors. You may use them to take part in LEVELESS events. You may not copy, sell, or build on them without our written permission.
11. Availability and accuracy
We work to keep the website and portal accurate and running, but we do not promise they will always be available or error free. Information about dates, venues, fees, divisions, and policies can change before registration closes.
12. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, LEVELESS, Hicks Virtual Solutions LLC, and Evolution Production Company are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the website, the portal, or an event. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the event the claim relates to. Some places do not allow these limits, so they apply only as far as the law permits.
13. Suspending or ending an account
You can stop using the portal at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Closing an account does not cancel fees already owed.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The updated version will show on this page, and when a change affects an account we may ask you to agree again before you register for another event.
